NAF Airstrikes Eliminate ISWAP Fighters, Top Commanders in Marte
A coordinated airstrike by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has eliminated dozens of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters and obliterated their ammunition depot in the Arinna Waje area of Marte Local Government Area, Borno State.
The precision operation, carried out on Sunday, followed credible intelligence and sustained surveillance which confirmed a significant concentration of terrorists in the area. This gathering reportedly occurred five days after a violent clash between ISWAP and a rival Boko Haram faction.

Sources confirmed that, acting on the intelligence, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets were deployed to strike the identified targets in a series of well-coordinated and devastating bombardments.
“The airstrikes were executed with surgical precision, resulting in the destruction of multiple terrorist hideouts and logistics hubs,” one of the sources revealed. “A secondary explosion observed during the mission confirmed a successful hit on a major ammunition storage facility.”
The sources further disclosed that several high-ranking ISWAP commanders were among those neutralized in the strikes.
They added that the NAF, working in concert with ground troops and intelligence networks, is determined to sustain the tempo of operations aimed at denying the terrorists freedom of movement and degrading their combat capabilities, particularly within the Lake Chad and Sambisa forest regions.
