“The Commission is yet to commence the process for the recruitment of police officers for 2025,” the statement read. “When the time comes, the recruitment exercise will be carried out following due process and established procedures.”
The PSC expressed dismay over what it described as the recurring efforts by fraudsters to exploit recruitment periods to mislead and defraud unsuspecting members of the public. It also called on relevant security agencies to investigate and prosecute individuals behind the fake announcements.
Reassuring Nigerians of its commitment to fairness and transparency, the Commission emphasized that any official recruitment drive would be announced through legitimate channels and in accordance with its regulations.
The statement concluded with a stern warning to fraudsters to desist from interfering in the Commission’s activities, vowing that those caught would face legal consequences.
