Troops Kill 3 Terrorists in Borno, Recover Weapons, Motorcycles
Troops of Sector 2 under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), in a coordinated offensive with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have eliminated three Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during a long-range clearance operation in Borno State.
The successful operation, which pushed deep into the Bulabulin forest axis towards Magumeri, resulted in a fierce exchange of gunfire around the Borno Yesu general area, military sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert covering the Lake Chad region.
Backed by aerial surveillance and close air support from the air component of OPHK, ground troops overran the terrorists’ position, neutralising three insurgents during the firefight.

Recovered from the scene were three AK-47 rifles, four fully loaded magazines, 120 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, grenades, two bandoliers, combat packs, and two brand-new motorcycles believed to be used for logistics and mobility by the terrorists.
“The Special Forces Tactical Team continues to dominate the general area while projecting force further to make additional contact, disrupt terrorist logistics, and deny them freedom of action,” the source disclosed.
He further noted that troop morale remains high, with ongoing operations designed to clear remaining hideouts and ensure the sustained degradation of terrorist networks in the region.
The military has intensified its counter-terrorism operations in Nigeria’s North-East in recent months, aiming to restore normalcy and enable the safe return of displaced communities to their ancestral homes.
