Army Neutralise 2 Terrorists, Recover Weapons in Zamfara, Kebbi
Troops of the Nigerian Army have eliminated two terrorists and recovered arms and ammunition during separate operations in Zamfara and Kebbi states, the 1 Brigade Headquarters confirmed on Sunday.
According to sources, the first operation took place at about 10:13 a.m. when troops of 1 Brigade launched a fighting patrol to Tubali village in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The mission followed credible intelligence indicating a planned attack on the Forward Operating Base in Galadi.

Upon arrival in Tubali, the troops engaged the terrorists in a brief firefight, killing one and recovering an AK-47 rifle. The operation recorded no military casualties, and the patrol team returned to base at approximately 2:10 p.m.
In a separate incident at about 10:12 a.m., troops conducted another fighting patrol to Konangoro-Duko junction in Arewa Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The mission was in response to an earlier attack on a joint security location manned by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
On sighting the advancing soldiers, the terrorists attempted to flee but were swiftly pursued. The engagement resulted in the killing of one terrorist and the recovery of another AK-47 rifle along with two magazines.
