In Taraba, Security Forces Nab 2 Kidnappers, Recover AK-47 Rifle
Security operatives in Taraba State, working alongside the State Hunters Association, have arrested two suspected kidnappers and recovered an AK-47 rifle from them.
The operation, which followed a credible tip-off, took place on Tuesday at Mahadi Forest in Gassol Local Government Area.

The suspects have been identified as 20-year-old Yahaya Umar from Gamu village in Ganye Local Government Area, and 37-year-old Mohammed Umar from Belango village in Karim Lamido Local Government Area.
According to security sources, the duo confessed to belonging to a kidnapping syndicate responsible for terrorising communities across Plateau and Taraba states, particularly along the Wase–Karim Lamido–Old Muri axis.
“Investigation is ongoing, and efforts are in progress to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang,” the sources added.
