In his remarks, the Commandant of AWCN, Major General Umar Mohammed Alkali, commended the officers and soldiers for their selfless service and invaluable contributions to the College. He urged them to remain exemplary ambassadors of AWCN in their new assignments, stressing that the College is a centre of excellence in grooming future strategic leaders for the Nigerian Army and beyond.

“Wherever you find yourselves, always exemplify what the College stands for — discipline, professionalism, and excellence,” the Commandant stated.

Brigadier General Okolaogu has now been appointed Commander of 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army, while Colonel Bappaiya has been posted to 1 Division Nigerian Army as Acting Director of Education Services, among other new appointments.

Highlights of the ceremony included goodwill messages, words of encouragement, and the presentation of gifts as tokens of appreciation. On behalf of the departing officers and soldiers, Brigadier General Okolaogu delivered the vote of thanks, expressing deep gratitude to the Commandant, faculty, and staff for their support and cooperation.
