DICON, DMG Events to Co-Host Africa Defence Exhibition 2026
The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) has signed a strategic partnership with UK-based dmg Events to co-host the first-ever International Defence Exhibition in Lagos, AFRIDEX 2026. The signing took place during the ongoing African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit 2025 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Major General BI Alaya, Director General of DICON, formalized the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DMG Events, represented by Nick Ornstien. The exhibition is scheduled to run from 26 to 29 October 2026. AFRIDEX 2026 aims to showcase cutting-edge defence technologies while strengthening Nigeria’s and Africa’s defence capabilities.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Chief of Defence Staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, General CG Musa, OFR, alongside African Chiefs of Defence Staff, defence attachés, and other dignitaries from across the continent.
