FCT Police Arrest 10 Suspected Drug Dealers, Recover Drugs, Kidnapping Proceeds
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has intensified its fight against criminality, arresting 10 suspected drug dealers, recovering 43 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and tracing livestock bought with proceeds from kidnapping activities.
According to sources, the drug suspects were apprehended at about 2:00 a.m. on Friday following a joint raid by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and Operation Sweep Team on a suspected drug hideout in Guzape, Abuja. The suspects are currently in custody undergoing interrogation as investigations continue to identify other accomplices.

In a related development, police recovered three cows allegedly purchased with the proceeds of kidnapping after further investigation into the arrest of a notorious bandit, Masud Abdullah, who was apprehended between August 21 and 25.
Sources said Abdullah led police operatives to Karu Forest, where the livestock were found. The operation was conducted in compliance with the Force Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Policy and the standards of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to track down other members of both criminal networks, underscoring the FCT Police Command’s commitment to tackling drug trafficking, kidnapping, and related crimes in the territory.
