Troops Neutralize Dozens of Terrorists, Arrest Logistics Suppliers in North-East Offensives

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have recorded major successes in ongoing counter-terrorism operations across the North-East, neutralizing more than 20 terrorists and arresting several of their logistics suppliers and collaborators.

According to a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force OPHK, the week-long offensives were conducted between 23 and 30 August 2025, with ground troops supported by the Air Component and local security outfits.

The coordinated operations covered Gujba, Gubio, Sabsawa, Whumtakum in Chibok Local Government Area (LGA), Mandarari in Konduga LGA, Gajigana in Magumeri LGA, as well as Konduga, Banki and Loskori Kura in Mafa LGA.

During the raids, troops recovered assorted weapons, including AK-47 rifles, rocket-propelled grenade tubes and bombs, a large cache of 7.62mm ammunition, and other logistics items. They also safely detonated improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and intercepted 242 bags of NPK fertilizer, allegedly being ferried to terrorists for the production of explosives.

The statement noted that the operations have further restricted the freedom of movement of JAS/ISWAP terrorists, limiting their ability to launch attacks while creating a safer environment for socio-economic activities in the region.

The military high command lauded the troops for their resilience and commitment, pledging continuous support to sustain the tempo of the counter-insurgency campaign.
