IG Egbetokun Appoints CSP Hundeyin as New Force PRO
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator and public relations professional, takes over from Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who has served in the role until now.
A graduate of Lagos State University with a BA (Hons) in English Language, Hundeyin also holds a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He has further broadened his professional expertise with a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State.

In addition, Hundeyin is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
His career trajectory has seen him serve as the Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, and as Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department, Abuja. In 2020, he was part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID). Until his current appointment, he was the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Command.
While congratulating Hundeyin on his new role, IGP Egbetokun urged him to deploy his wealth of experience in communications and security to strengthen the Force’s public relations and maintain constructive engagement with the citizenry.
