The Bayero University, Kano Alumni Association (BUKAA) has concluded arrangements for its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), set to be a memorable reunion for graduates of the institution.

Ahead of the event that will be held in person or virtual, the Association’s leadership, led by its President, Alhaji Shuaibu Idris Mikati, mni, FCIoD, paid a courtesy visit to the Registrar, Malam Haruna Aliyu, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, where they briefed him on preparations and activities lined up.

Alhaji Mikati disclosed that the celebration will open with a Grand Dinner on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Convocation Arena, New Campus. The AGM proper will follow the next day, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., featuring a keynote lecture on *Corporate Governance* to be delivered by Ambassador Shuaibu Adamu Ahmad.

He described the lecture as timely, noting that Ambassador Ahmad serves on the Federal Government’s Steering Committee tasked with securing approval of the National Code of Corporate Governance—an initiative considered pivotal for transparency and accountability in both the public and private sectors.
