Police Arrest 56 Suspects in Coordinated Raids Across FCT
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 56 suspects during simultaneous raids on criminal hideouts across Abuja.
The operation, carried out Thursday night, involved coordinated efforts by operatives from Kubwa, Nyanya, Maitama, Gwagwa, Dawaki, Gwarinpa, Asokoro, Karu, Jikwoyi, Mpape, Lokogoma, and Utako Divisions.

According to security sources, the raids targeted black spots, uncompleted buildings, and other locations identified as criminal hideouts. Items recovered during the exercise included dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit substances.
“The suspects are currently undergoing screening and interrogation at the respective divisions, and those found culpable will be charged to court,” one of the sources said.
The sources added that the FCT remains relatively calm and peaceful, while assuring residents that the Command will sustain its clampdown on criminal elements to ensure safety and security across the territory.
