Troops Arrest 12 Suspected Drug Dealers in Kaduna, Rescue Accident Victim on Abuja Highway

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY) have recorded fresh successes in their operations, arresting 12 suspects with illicit drugs in Kaduna metropolis and rescuing a motor accident victim along the Bwari–Jere Road in the Federal Capital Territory, PRNigeria learnt.

In Kaduna, troops of Sub-Sector 3 under 1 Division Garrison, working with Keystone and other security agencies, conducted coordinated raids on identified black spots and suspected criminal hideouts around Unguwan Sunday and the Sabo general areas.

The operation led to the arrest of 12 suspects and the recovery of illicit drugs. The suspects have since been handed over to the Task Force Investigation Team for screening and prosecution. Military authorities described the raid as successful and pledged to sustain similar joint efforts with other security agencies to curb criminal activities across Kaduna metropolis.

In a separate development, Zagazola Makama troops under Sub-Sector 4 of OPFY rendered emergency assistance to a lone driver who survived a car accident about 20 kilometres from Jere, along the Bwari–Jere Road. The accident involved a black Toyota vehicle that somersaulted and landed in a ditch, leaving the driver injured.

Responding swiftly to a distress call from a good Samaritan, the troops arrived at the scene, recovered the overturned vehicle, stabilised the victim for medical attention, and deployed a towing vehicle to clear the wreckage, ensuring safe passage for other road users.

Residents commended the soldiers for their timely intervention, describing it as a demonstration of the military’s commitment to protecting lives and serving communities beyond combat operations.
