Police Arrest Five Suspected IPOB/ESN Terrorists in Imo, Rivers States
The Police Command has arrested five suspected members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), during intelligence-led operations in Imo and Rivers States, PRNigeria reports.
Security sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama that the arrests were made by operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit following crucial confessions obtained from two IPOB/ESN commanders earlier captured at the group’s B44 Camp in Ezioha.
The suspects were identified as:
Iwuji Chima (33) of Ubah Agwa, Oguta LGA – a vigilante operative alleged to be working for ESN at the B44 Camp.
Chimezie Uwala (32) of Ubah Agwa, Oguta LGA – described as an accomplice.

Chinemere Nwoke (24) of Obudi Agwa, Oguta LGA – alleged to be the brother of a wanted ESN commander known as Charles.
Ogochukwu Nwoke (30) – wife of the same wanted commander, currently at large.
According to the sources, the coordinated tracking operation began in Elele, Rivers State, at about 1:15 a.m. on September 20, and later extended to Agwa, Oguta LGA of Imo State, around 4:50 a.m., leading to the arrests.
The arrested commanders reportedly confessed to engaging in terrorism-related activities in furtherance of their agenda to actualise a so-called Biafra Republic.
Police authorities disclosed that investigations are ongoing, with efforts intensified to track down other fleeing members of the group.
