The announcement was made by the Editor-in-Chief of PRNigeria, Mr. Yushau Shuaib, during the graduation ceremony of ten fellows who completed an intensive, training programme. The fellowship blends classroom instruction with hands-on field experience to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical expertise in journalism, public relations, and crisis communication.

While commending the graduates for their dedication, Shuaib explained the hostel was built to accommodate participants from distant locations. He emphasized the programme’s urgency in an era of rising misinformation.

“Beyond equipping participants with essential communication skills, this programme prepares them to respond to the challenges of information disorder while also positioning them to contribute meaningfully to society,” Shuaib stated.

He noted that beyond the annual Fellowship, PRNigeria Centres in Abuja, Kano, and Ilorin have trained young people in a wide range of skills, including videography, photography, web management, graphic design, public speaking, and more.
