Troops Nab Terrorists’ Logistics, Drug Suppliers in Borno
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have arrested two teenage suspects allegedly involved in supplying logistics and drugs to Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.
The arrests, according to military sources, were made during a series of stop-and-search and counter-terrorism operations along the Gamboru–Wulgo road under the ongoing Operation Desert Sanity IV.

On October 2, troops of the 24 Task Force Brigade, working in synergy with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, intercepted an 18-year-old suspect, Abba Wakil, from Wulgo village, Ngala. He was reportedly caught with two jerricans of condemned engine oil and 100 pieces of quick patch, which investigators believe were meant for terrorists operating in the area.
Another suspect, identified as Bunu Ali, also aged 18, was apprehended while attempting to deliver 110 wraps of Cannabis Sativa to insurgents.
A source disclosed that preliminary investigations confirmed the suspects’ links to terrorist elements, stressing that they are currently in military custody for further interrogation.
The development, security experts say, underscores the ongoing efforts of OPHK troops to degrade terrorist logistics networks and cut off supplies that fuel insurgency in the North-East.
