Dismissed Officer Impersonating Agency, Defrauding Public — DSS Alerts Nigerians
The Department of State Services (DSS) has cautioned Nigerians against dealing with one Barry Donald, a former staff member dismissed from the agency, who is reportedly impersonating the Service to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the secret police disclosed that the ex-officer has been engaging in fraudulent activities under the guise of representing the DSS.

“The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby alerts members of the public to the activities of one Barry Donald, a dismissed staff. He is reportedly engaging in unscrupulous acts, including using the name of the Service to defraud unsuspecting members of the public,” the statement read.
The agency strongly advised Nigerians to desist from any form of dealings with the dismissed officer, warning that such engagements could lead to financial or legal complications.

The DSS reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism and integrity in safeguarding national security, urging citizens to verify any correspondence or approach purportedly made on behalf of the Service before taking action.
