BREAKING: Trump Threatens to Cut U.S. Aid, Conduct Military Operation in Nigeria Over ‘Alleged Christians Genocides’

Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump has issued a stern warning to the Nigerian Government over what he described as the continued killing of Christians in the country, threatening to halt all American aid and possibly take military action if the violence persists.

In a statement posted on his verified social media handle, Trump condemned the alleged attacks on Christians by Islamic extremists in Nigeria, calling the situation “disgraceful” and urging the Nigerian authorities to act swiftly to end the killings.

“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump said.

The former president further disclosed that he had directed what he termed the “Department of War” to prepare for possible action, warning that any U.S. response would be “fast, vicious, and sweet.”

“If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians,” Trump stated, adding a final caution: “The Nigerian Government better move fast!”

Trump’s comments are likely to stir diplomatic reactions between Washington and Abuja, given the strong partnership both countries share in counterterrorism, economic cooperation, and humanitarian assistance.

Notwithstanding, the statement has sparked widespread debate across social media platforms, with mixed reactions from human rights advocates, political observers, and faith-based organizations.

While some Christian groups welcomed Trump’s strong words as a defense of religious freedom, others cautioned that such rhetoric could further strain U.S.-Nigeria relations and inflame religious tensions in Africa’s most populous nation.

Nigeria has faced persistent insecurity challenges over the years, including attacks by Boko Haram insurgents, Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants, and armed bandits in parts of the North.

The Nigerian Government maintains that it is committed to protecting all citizens regardless of faith and has intensified military operations to restore peace and stability across affected regions.
