CP Jimoh Decorates Newly Promoted Senior Officers in Lagos Command

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, on Wednesday decorated a new set of senior police officers recently elevated to higher ranks, reiterating the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to merit-based promotion and personnel welfare within the Nigeria Police Force.

The ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja, had in attendance senior management officers, friends, and family members of the newly promoted personnel. The event highlighted the Nigeria Police Force’s renewed focus on professionalism, discipline, and motivation for its workforce.

Speaking at the occasion, CP Olohundare commended the Police Service Commission (PSC) for its transparent and credible promotion process, which facilitated the elevation of officers from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP), as well as the confirmation of Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs).

He noted that each promotion symbolizes a vote of confidence and greater responsibility, urging the beneficiaries to demonstrate exemplary leadership, integrity, and accountability in their new roles.

“Promotion in the Force is not merely a reward but a renewed call to service and higher expectations,” the Commissioner said. “I encourage you all to remain dedicated, uphold the core values of policing, and work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of Lagos State.”

Among the officers decorated were CSP Agba Anna, DPO Ajao Estate Division; CSP Jacob Gana Jiya, DPO Ilemba-Hausa Division; CSP Hadiza Jidda, DPO Ogombo Division; CSP Amoda Fatai, DCO Ikeja Division; CSP Udomfiok Emmanuel, 2i/c Gender; CSP Aroloye Bamikole, DPO Agbowa Division; and CSP Momoh Kamaldeen, DPO Apapa Division.

In their remarks, the newly promoted officers expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police for recognizing their hard work and to the Police Service Commission for endorsing their progression. They pledged to rededicate themselves to service, uphold the ethics of the profession, and contribute more strategically to the policing and security of Lagos State.

CP Olohundare concluded the event by reaffirming his resolve to sustain a Command founded on discipline, professionalism, and purposeful leadership. He charged all officers to justify their new ranks through consistent performance and by strengthening the Command’s efforts toward maintaining peace and order in Lagos State.

The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, signed the statement on behalf of the Commissioner.
