The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in Lokoja, as part of efforts to deepen synergy between the Police and the State Government in enhancing peace and security.

In his remarks, CP Kankarofi commended Governor Ododo for his administration’s consistent support to the Police and other security agencies operating in the state. He briefed the Governor on recent security initiatives, crime-prevention strategies, and upcoming community-policing programmes aimed at further strengthening public safety and trust between the police and residents.

The Police Commissioner also emphasized the importance of intelligence sharing, operational synergy among security agencies, and joint efforts to tackle violent crimes and other emerging threats within the state.

Responding, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting law-enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order. He pledged sustained assistance to ensure the successful implementation of security policies designed to safeguard lives and property.

Both leaders expressed optimism that the continued partnership between the Kogi State Government and the Police Command would foster a safer, more stable, and prosperous environment for the people of Kogi State.

The meeting concluded on a note of mutual understanding and renewed resolve to strengthen inter-agency cooperation for enhanced security management across the state.
