CAS Aneke Hails Newly Promoted NAF Personnel, Harps on Discipline, Professionalism
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has congratulated the newly promoted Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), describing their elevation as a testament to discipline, dedication, and national trust in the Force’s mission to safeguard Nigeria’s sovereignty.
Speaking during the 2025 promotion exercise, which was conducted in line with the NAF’s annual promotion cycle, Air Marshal Aneke said the process went beyond a mere administrative routine. He explained that it represented a defining moment that reinforces the principles of merit, professionalism, and devotion to duty within the Service.
“Each promotion is not just a change in rank; it is a call to greater responsibility and higher expectations,” the CAS stated. He assured that the promotion process remained transparent and merit-driven, in accordance with the standards of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Air Marshal Aneke further emphasized that personnel who had successfully completed their requisite professional or technical courses would be duly considered in subsequent mustering and upgrading exercises.
Highlighting his leadership philosophy anchored on motivation, mentorship, and morale building, the CAS underscored that the strength of the NAF lies in its people. According to him, a motivated and well-trained workforce is vital for sustaining the Force’s operational advantage in modern warfare and in addressing emerging security challenges across the country.
“When our personnel are inspired and well-equipped, their precision in operations improves, their resolve strengthens, and their contribution to national defense becomes more impactful,” he said.
He urged the newly promoted personnel to let their new ranks reflect humility, renewed commitment, and unflinching dedication to the service of the nation, assuring that the NAF under his leadership would continue to uphold professionalism, patriotism, and purpose in defending Nigeria’s airspace.
