IG Appoints DIG Dankwara as Force Director of Finance and Administration
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has approved the posting of DIG Mohammed Adamu Dankwara as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration.
DIG Dankwara takes over from DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya, who recently retired from the Nigeria Police Force after more than three decades of distinguished and meritorious service.

Before his elevation, DIG Dankwara served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he was widely commended for his leadership qualities, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to duty.
While congratulating him on the appointment, IGP Egbetokun expressed confidence that DIG Dankwara will deploy his vast experience to further strengthen the administrative and financial operations of the Force. He emphasized that the posting aligns with ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the Police for enhanced efficiency and improved service delivery.
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens through strategic leadership appointments and excellence in performance.
