NYCN Condemns Kebbi Schoolgirls Abduction, Demands Swift Rescue Operation
The National Executive Council of the Nigerian Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has strongly condemned the recent abduction of innocent schoolgirls from Government Girls’ Secondary School (GGS) in Kebbi State, calling the act a direct assault on the dignity, rights, and future of the Nigerian girl-child.
The Council expressed deep concern over the continuous targeting of educational institutions and the persistent insecurity threatening the lives of young Nigerians across the country.
The NYCN demanded swift and decisive action from government and security agencies.

The Council called on the Federal Government, Kebbi State Government, and all relevant security agencies to take every necessary measure, swiftly, decisively, and strategically, to ensure the immediate rescue and safe return of the abducted girls. The organization insisted that no effort should be spared in bringing the perpetrators of this criminal act to justice.
The statement, signed by Umar Lauya (Falakin Hardawa), National Vice President (Headquarters) of the NYCN, emphasized that the continuous abduction of schoolchildren undermines collective national progress, as education remains the most powerful tool for national development.
The NYCN urged government authorities to strengthen security around all schools nationwide and intensify intelligence-driven operations to prevent further occurrences. The Council extended heartfelt sympathy to the affected families and the people of Kebbi State.
