Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke; Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; and the Director-General of the DSS, Tosin Ajayi. The high-stakes briefing, which stretched late into the evening, signalled a renewed push to stabilise the country.

Photos from the meeting released by presidential aide Dada Olusegun showed a decisive Tinubu receiving real-time intelligence updates and issuing fresh operational orders in what insiders say is “a no-nonsense security overhaul.”

The meeting came just hours after Tinubu vowed that his administration would not back down in the fight against insecurity, announcing the rescue of 38 abducted worshippers in Kwara and 51 kidnapped students in Niger State.

The President also disclosed that he cancelled his trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally coordinate national security operations following the disturbing escalation of attacks.
