The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) has approved the promotion of several senior officers, including distinguished Public Relations professionals and former spokespersons, Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Timi Bomodi and Assistant Comptroller of Customs (ACC) Abdullahi Maiwada.

The promotions were ratified during the Board’s 64th Regular Meeting held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The session addressed critical matters of leadership restructuring, personnel development, and special recognitions within the Service

PRNigeria reports that the newly elevated Deputy Comptroller-General Timi Bomodi, a distinguished former National Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, brings a distinguished career spanning high-profile operational and communication roles. He became acting ACG in August 2024 after his promotion to Comptroller in January 2023.
