Troops Arrest 22 Terror Logistics Suppliers, Eliminate Terrorist in Separate Borno Operations
Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF), North-East Operation Hadin Kai, have recorded significant operational successes in Borno State, arresting 22 suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in Mafa and neutralising a militant in a separate clearance operation around Delwa and Tojiri villages.
Military sources told PRNigeria that operatives of the 112 Task Force Battalion, under the 24 Task Force Brigade, intercepted the main suspect, 40-year-old Ibrahim Bukar, and 21 accomplices at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Checkpoint 2 in Mafa Local Government Area. The group was reportedly transporting 59 cartons and 28 sacks of smoked fish in two Isuzu trucks.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that the consignment was handed over to them in Laje village by terrorists, with Bukar allegedly confessing to having supplied various items to insurgents over time. He was also positively identified by hybrid forces who confirmed he previously served as a logistics supplier while embedded with the terrorists in the bush. All suspects and the seized items have been taken into custody for further investigation.
In a parallel operation, troops conducting a fighting patrol around Delwa and Tojiri villages encountered terrorist fire at about 9:00 a.m. The operation, carried out in collaboration with hunters and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), resulted in the neutralisation of one militant, while others fled.
A sweep of the area led to the recovery of one FN rifle, two FN magazines loaded with 28 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, two Tecno mobile phones, and three sachets of illicit drugs. No casualties were recorded on the side of the troops.
The latest operations underscore the sustained pressure being applied by security forces to disrupt insurgent logistics networks and degrade their operational capabilities across the North-East.
