Nigeria, Algerian Customs Strengthen Partnership to Boost Training, Modernisation, Trade Facilitation
The Director-General of Algerian Customs, Major General Abdulhafid Bakhouche, has reaffirmed his agency’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in the areas of training, customs modernisation and trade facilitation.
Bakhouche made this pledge on Monday during an official reception for students of Senior Course 13 from the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada. The delegation visited the Algerian Customs Service Headquarters in Algiers at the start of a four-day study tour.
“We are fully prepared to work closely with the Nigeria Customs Service in strengthening training, enhancing modernisation and improving the facilitation of customs procedures,” Bakhouche said. He urged the participants to remain attentive throughout the visit, noting that his officers were on standby to guide the team and ensure the success of the tour.
