Insecurity: Nigerian Army Launches Advanced Wargaming Hub for Tactical Training
The Nigerian Army has unveiled an Advanced Wargaming Hub aimed at improving tactical planning, simulation capability and operational readiness in the fight against insecurity across the country.
The facility was commissioned on Saturday, by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, during a working visit to the college.
Welcoming the Army Chief, the Commandant AFCSC, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Idris Alhaji, said the new centre reflects the institution’s commitment to producing officers intellectually prepared for command and staff roles across complex and evolving security environments.
He noted that the Wargaming Centre—conceived and driven by the Chief of Army Staff—will significantly improve the capacity of personnel to develop modern operational concepts, refine strategic thinking, and enhance combat decision-making essential for today’s dynamic battlefield.
The Commandant commended the Army Chief for championing modern training standards, assuring that the College will continue to support the Department of Land Warfare in delivering world-class military education.
