Army Eliminates 11 Terrorists, Recovers Weapons in Precision Ambush in Sokoto
Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 8 Division have eliminated 11 terrorists and recovered a cache of weapons during a well-coordinated ambush in Kurawa Village, Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The operation, conducted under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, was launched at about 6:45 a.m. on Sunday after troops received credible human intelligence indicating the movement of a terrorist group attempting to cross towards Tara Village within the same council area.
Security sources revealed that the 8 Division Garrison Strike Team swiftly mounted a precision ambush along the identified route, successfully intercepting and neutralising the terrorists.
