Fulani Group to Musa: Prioritise Non-Kinetic Approaches to Insecurity
The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has called on the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), to justify the public confidence reposed in him by adopting non-kinetic strategies to combat insecurity across the country.
KACRAN’s National President, Khalil Mohammed Bello, made the appeal in a statement issued on Wednesday in Damaturu.

Bello encouraged the minister to leverage his extensive military background—beyond combat operations—to strengthen peacebuilding efforts and foster national unity. He expressed optimism that General Musa’s experience in peacekeeping and conflict resolution would help restore stability, trust and harmonious coexistence before October 2026.
“We want Nigerians to remember that security is a collective responsibility. We call on security operatives, traditional rulers, politicians and all citizens to provide maximum support to enable the minister to succeed within this short period,” Bello said.
He further assured the minister of KACRAN’s readiness to collaborate and support initiatives aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence nationwide.
