Ooni of Ife Hails Femi Fani-Kayode’s Ambassadorial Screening Success, Thanks President Tinubu
The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja the Second, has expressed profound delight and pride following the successful Senate screening of former Minister Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) for ambassadorial appointment.
The Ooni’s commendation was delivered through his Representative, Sooko (Dr.) Kemade Elugbaju, the Sooko Omoniyi and Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the Ooni of Ife, who congratulated Fani-Kayode on the honour bestowed upon him and the people of Ifeland.

The statement highlighted Fani-Kayode’s deep roots in the region, tracing his lineage to the Gbúede lineage in Ifeland. FFK holds several traditional titles, including the Aare Ajagunla of Otun Ekiti, the Sadaukin Shinkafi, the Wakilin Doka Potiskum, and the Otunba Joga Orile.
The Ooni expressed confidence in Fani-Kayode’s ability to excel in his anticipated new role, citing his previous service.
“Kabiyesi, the Ooni, expresses pride and joy, while wishing you continued success and grace in your new role as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the representative stated.
The Ooni concluded by expressing his profound gratitude to His Excellency, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, for the “great honour” done to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.
