Bauchi Police Command Gets New Spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib

 

The Bauchi State Police Command has announced the appointment of Superintendent of Police (SP) Nafiu Habib as its new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).

SP Habib, described as a seasoned and versatile police officer, takes over the strategic communication role with over 16 years of professional experience across various operational, administrative, and strategic communication roles within the Nigeria Police Force.

Profile and Experience

The new PPRO holds a Master’s Degree in Conflict and Security Studies from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Criminology and Security Studies from the National Open University of Nigeria. He is a graduate of the Cadet Inspector of Police Course 38/2009 at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

SP Habib has served in several capacities across the country, including:

* PPRO, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.

He is also an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR) and a Fellow of the Forensic Investigators’ Society of Nigeria (FISN).

Commitment to Community Policing

As he assumes duty, SP Nafiu Habib reiterated his commitment to strengthening the relationship between the police and the public through credible communication, effective information management, and community-oriented policing strategies.

He assured residents of Bauchi State of his readiness to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, transparency, and responsiveness in line with global best practices.

The Command urged the public, the media, and other stakeholders to extend their cooperation and support to the new PPRO.
