Navy Graduates 323 Above-Water Warfare Specialists in Kaduna
The Nigerian Navy has graduated 323 personnel trained in gunnery and fire control, strengthening its above-water warfare capability amid evolving security challenges across the country.
The personnel, drawn from batches 25, 28 and 29, completed Quarter Armourer and Fire Control I–III courses at the Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT), Kachia, Kaduna State.
The graduation ceremony, held on Friday, marked the maiden gunnery regimental graduation at the institution.
Speaking at the event, Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, described the graduation as a historic milestone that underscored discipline, professionalism and the Nigerian Navy’s growing technical capacity.
Represented by the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Liman, the governor said the training directly contributed to national security and reflected sustained investment in human capital development.
“The skills acquired by these personnel will significantly enhance Nigeria’s maritime security architecture,” Sani said. “Kaduna State remains committed to people-centred governance through investments in education, healthcare, infrastructure and coordinated security interventions, in partnership with the military and other security agencies.”
He commended the impressive parade and drills by the graduands, noting that the display was evidence of rigorous training, regimentation and high professional standards.
