Tinubu Orders Military, Police to Hunt Down Niger Market Attackers, Vows Justice for Victims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the nation’s security chiefs to immediately hunt down and bring to justice the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack in Kasuwan Daji, reaffirming his administration’s resolve to rid the country of criminal elements.

In a directive issued on Sunday, the President instructed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to track and apprehend those behind the attack without delay.

According to the President, the perpetrators have not only committed heinous crimes but have also challenged the resolve of Nigeria and its people.

“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions,” Tinubu declared, stressing that no individual or group involved in the attack would be spared.

He further warned that anyone found aiding, abetting, or enabling the terrorists would equally be brought to justice, as part of a broader effort to dismantle terror networks and their support systems.

President Tinubu also directed security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue all abducted victims, while ordering enhanced security operations around vulnerable communities, particularly those located near forests, which have increasingly been exploited as hideouts by criminal groups.

Emphasising national unity in the face of insecurity, the President called on Nigerians to stand together against terrorism and violence.

“These times demand our humanity. We must stand together as one people and confront these monsters in unison,” he said, adding that the country must deny terrorists any form of sanctuary and reclaim peace for affected communities.

The President concluded by offering condolences to families of those who lost their lives in the Kasuwan Daji attack, praying for the repose of the souls of the departed.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace,” he said.
