Customs Disowns Fake Recruitment Flyer, Warns Public Against Fraudsters
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has issued a public warning over the circulation of a misleading and photoshopped graphic on social media platforms concerning its ongoing recruitment exercise.
In a disclaimer released on Thursday, the Service categorically described the information contained in the viral graphic as false and urged members of the public to disregard it in its entirety.
The NCS noted that the fake material was designed to mislead applicants and the general public, stressing that it did not originate from any of its official communication channels.

“The information contained in the said graphic is false and should be disregarded,” the Service stated, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and accurate public communication.
To ensure access to verified and up-to-date information, the NCS advised Nigerians to rely solely on its official social media platforms for announcements and updates regarding recruitment and other activities.
The Service listed its verified platforms as Facebook (Nigeria Customs Service), X (customsng), Instagram (customsng), YouTube (Nigeria Customs Service), LinkedIn (Nigeria Customs Service), and TikTok (customsng).
The NCS also urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid engaging with unverified sources, warning that misinformation could mislead job seekers and undermine the integrity of the recruitment process.
