The Nigerian Army has announced the release of the list of successful candidates shortlisted for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 Selection Board.

In a public announcement on Monday, the Army informed the general public that the names of shortlisted candidates have been published on its official recruitment portal: (https://recruitment.army.mil.ng).

According to the statement, candidates who made the shortlist are to report to the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State, from 9:00 a.m. on February 22, 2026. The Selection Board exercise is scheduled to hold from February 23 to March 8, 2026.

The Army directed all shortlisted candidates to report to the venue with specific items required for the screening and documentation process. These include writing materials; four copies of recent coloured passport photographs; and four copies of recent full-size coloured photographs taken in a standing position while dressed in a suit.

The full-size photographs must have the candidate’s surname, first name, other names, date of birth, and, where applicable, service number and current unit (for serving personnel) clearly written on the reverse side.

Candidates are also required to present scratch cards for online confirmation of WAEC and/or NECO results.

Other items to be brought along include three plain white short-sleeve vests; three pairs of blue shorts; a pair of canvas shoes or trainers with three pairs of white socks; a bucket and toiletries; a set of cutleries including plate and drinking cups; as well as beddings such as blankets, bedspreads, mosquito nets, and pillowcases.

The Army urged shortlisted candidates to adhere strictly to the reporting date and comply with all instructions to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the Selection Board exercise.
