Troops Neutralise 6 Kidnappers, Rescue Abducted Woman in Plateau
Troops of Sector 6 under Operation OPEP have neutralised six suspected kidnappers and rescued an abducted woman during a coordinated raid on a criminal hideout in Angwan Boka, Sopp District of Riyom Local Government Area, Plateau State.
Security sources disclosed that the operation, conducted at about 6:20 p.m. on February 17, followed credible intelligence obtained from two suspects arrested a day earlier on February 16. The suspects were confirmed to be members of a kidnapping syndicate operating in the area.
According to the sources, the arrested suspects provided actionable information that led troops to the hideout of their accomplices. They also revealed that a woman abducted earlier at about 6:00 a.m. on the same day was being held at the location.
