PSC, Nigeria Police to Begin Physical Screening for 50,000 Constables March 9
The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have announced that physical and credential screening for the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 constables will commence on March 9, 2026, and run until April 18, 2026, across the country.
The commission urged all candidates who successfully completed the online registration to log in to the recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to check their status and print the required documents, including their Invitation Slip, Guarantors Form, Credential Screening Form, Application Submission Slip, and Physical Screening Form. These documents must be presented at the screening venues on the assigned date and time.

Applicants are expected to present the following at the screening centers: their Invitation Slip with assigned table, Credential Screening Form, original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card, O’ Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, LGA/State of Origin certificate, Trade Test/Certificate for specialists, and duly completed Guarantors Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees. All documents must be neatly arranged in two separate white flat files.
Candidates are required to appear in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings. Screening will take place at designated locations within each state and the Federal Capital Territory, as specified in the invitation printout.
The PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, reiterated that the recruitment process is completely free of charge and will be conducted with transparency and accountability. He warned applicants to be cautious of online scammers and impostors attempting to exploit the recruitment exercise, noting that offenders will be arrested and prosecuted.
The commission’s spokesman, Torty Njoku Kalu, confirmed the announcement from PSC headquarters in Abuja.
