Troops Dismantle Terrorist Hideouts, Recover Arms in Bauchi Forest
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have destroyed suspected terrorist hideouts and recovered arms during a coordinated fighting patrol in the Yankari forest and adjoining areas of Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Security sources said the operation, carried out at about 5:30 p.m., was executed by troops of the 33 Artillery Brigade as part of sustained efforts to flush out criminal elements from the forested region.

According to the sources, troops conducted a systematic sweep of the area, identifying multiple hideouts and staging points believed to be used by suspected террорист elements.
“During the operation, troops successfully destroyed the identified hideouts and neutralised threats within the general area,” a source disclosed.
Items recovered during the patrol include two locally fabricated Dane guns.
The operation, sources added, is aimed at restricting the operational mobility of terrorist groups and restoring security within the forest corridor.
Troops are expected to maintain sustained clearance and domination patrols to ensure the area remains secure for both residents and visitors.
