Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist Suppliers in Kwara, Foil Robbery Attempt in Plateau
Troops of the Nigerian military have recorded significant operational successes in Kwara and Plateau states, arresting suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and thwarting an attempted highway robbery in separate operations.
In Kwara State, troops under Operation Fansan Yamma arrested two suspected suppliers of logistics to terrorist groups during an intelligence-led operation in Patigi Local Government Area. The arrest, which took place at about 5:00 p.m. on March 21, was conducted under Operation Savannah Shield.
Security sources disclosed that troops of Sector 1, operating from a Forward Operating Base in Patigi, acted on credible intelligence regarding the movement of suspected logistics couriers along the Ndanaku–Latan Daji forest axis. The troops subsequently laid an ambush along the route, leading to the arrest of the suspects.

Items recovered from them include 15 cartons of assorted beverages, cooking oil, tramadol, and other supplies believed to be intended for terrorist elements. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects confessed to involvement in supplying logistics to criminal groups. They are currently in military custody pending further investigation and necessary action.
In a separate operation in Plateau State, troops of Operation Enduring Peace successfully foiled a suspected armed robbery attempt along a highway in Bindi Village, Riyom Local Government Area.
The incident occurred at about 11:02 p.m. on March 21, following intelligence reports that suspected armed robbers had blocked the road with the intention of attacking motorists. Troops from Sector 6 responded swiftly to the alert.
Upon arrival, the suspects abandoned their operation and fled the scene. Troops subsequently secured and cleared the highway, restoring the free flow of traffic and reinforcing security presence in the area.
The operations underscore ongoing military efforts to disrupt criminal networks and enhance security across affected regions.
