Tinubu Summons Plateau Governor, Security Chiefs Over Jos Attack
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has summoned Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, alongside the nation’s top security and intelligence chiefs, following the deadly attack in Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North.
The high-level meeting, held in Abuja, is aimed at reviewing the security situation and charting decisive measures to prevent further violence in the state.

Briefing journalists today after the development, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed that the President is taking the situation seriously and is committed to finding a lasting solution.
He noted that security agencies had already responded swiftly to the incident, with troops deployed under Operation Enduring Peace cordoning off affected areas and launching search-and-clearance operations to track down the perpetrators.
Idris added that the outcome of the meeting between the President and Governor Mutfwang would be made public in due course, stressing that the Federal Government remains resolute in its commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
He also urged Nigerians to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies, assuring that those behind the attack would be apprehended and brought to justice.
