Troops Eliminate 2 Insurgents, Disrupt Terrorist Supply Chains in Borno, Yobe
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised two suspected insurgent logistics operatives in coordinated ambush operations across Borno State and Yobe State, as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist supply networks in the North-East.
Security sources disclosed that the operations were conducted in the early hours of April 6, 2026, targeting suspected logistics movements linked to Boko Haram and its splinter faction, ISWAP.
In Yobe State, troops of the 198 Special Forces Battalion, working alongside Hybrid Forces, carried out an ambush operation around 4:00 a.m. along the Lamisuri axis in Gujba Local Government Area. During the encounter, one suspected logistics supplier was neutralised, while others fled the scene.
A tricycle believed to have been used for transporting supplies to insurgents was destroyed during the operation. Military sources confirmed that no casualties or equipment losses were recorded among the troops.

In a separate operation in Borno State, troops of E Company, 192 Battalion, deployed at the Forward Operating Base Pulka, in conjunction with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, intercepted suspected insurgent logistics elements near Zubulum village along the Pulka–Rawa road in Gwoza Local Government Area.
The ambush, which occurred at about 2:30 a.m., resulted in the neutralisation of one insurgent, while others escaped with suspected gunshot wounds following sustained engagement by troops.
Items recovered from the scene included approximately 350 empty cases of 7.62mm ammunition, food supplies, clothing materials, toiletries, communication devices, and religious materials. Security sources said the recovered items suggested the group was on a logistics mission to support insurgent operations.
Troops subsequently conducted a follow-up exploitation of the area before returning to base without casualties.
Military authorities noted that the operations form part of intensified efforts to disrupt insurgent supply chains, restrict their mobility, and degrade their operational capabilities across the North-East theatre.
