Idris @60: NIPR Highlights Minister’s Ethics, Professional Excellence
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has celebrated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, describing him as an icon of reputation and a shining example of professionalism in public communication.
In a statement issued today, the President and Chairman of Council of the Institute, Ike Neliaku, congratulated the minister on behalf of the Governing Council, commending his dedication to the ideals and ethics of the public relations profession.
The Institute noted that Idris’ journey to becoming the nation’s spokesperson reflects “intentionality, determination, and a strong desire to serve,” anchored on professionalism and consistent preparation.
According to the NIPR, the minister has remained a role model and a beacon of hope for younger generations in the communication field, having distinguished himself through unwavering commitment to excellence.

It added that his contributions have brought significant value to the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly in navigating complex communication challenges.
The NIPR, which is statutorily mandated to regulate the practice of public relations in Nigeria, also praised the minister’s courage and capacity in applying professional principles, especially during critical moments.
