Troops Intercept 675 Litres of Fuel Bound for Terrorists in Adamawa
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have intercepted 675 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, suspected to have been destined for terrorist elements during a strangulation operation in Adamawa State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the seizure occurred at about 3:15 p.m. on June 29, when troops of the 247 Reconnaissance Battalion, deployed under Operation Desert Sanity VI, intercepted the consignment along the Muva axis in Mubi North Local Government Area.
According to the sources, the suspected smugglers abandoned the fuel and fled into nearby bushes upon sighting the advancing troops, thereby evading arrest.

The recovered consignment consisted of 27 jerrycans containing approximately 675 litres of PMS. Security sources believe the fuel was being transported to an undisclosed destination and suspect it was intended to support the logistical operations of terrorist groups.
The seized fuel has since been taken into the custody of the 247 Reconnaissance Battalion for further investigation and other necessary actions.
The interception is part of Operation HADIN KAI’s ongoing strangulation operations designed to disrupt terrorist logistics networks by denying insurgents access to fuel and other critical supplies required to sustain their activities across the North-East.
Military sources said troops remain vigilant throughout the theatre of operations, noting that although the overall security situation is relatively calm, it remains fluid and unpredictable. They added that personnel continue to maintain a high level of morale and operational readiness as clearance, interdiction, and counter-terrorism operations persist across the region. If needed, I can also rewrite it in the distinctive Zagazola Makama security intelligence style commonly used for defence and security reportage.
