Again, NAF Airstrikes Cripple Terrorist Camp in Borno, Several Fighters Neutralised
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recorded another major success in the fight against terrorism after precision airstrikes destroyed a terrorist enclave and neutralised several fighters in Borno State.
The operation, carried out on Friday by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, targeted a terrorist hideout at Yaganari in the Gezuwa general area following credible intelligence on renewed insurgent activities in the location.
According to the NAF, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions confirmed the presence of terrorist structures and logistics hubs before the targets were engaged in a series of precision airstrikes.
The Service said the strikes destroyed the terrorists’ infrastructure, crippled their logistics base and neutralised several fighters.

It added that the successful operation has further intensified pressure on terrorist elements, significantly degrading their freedom of movement and ability to regroup.
Commenting on the operation, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, commended the personnel involved for their professionalism and dedication to duty.
He reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to sustaining relentless offensive operations against terrorists and other threats to national security.
“The Nigerian Air Force will continue to deliver decisive air power in concert with surface forces to hunt down, disrupt and destroy terrorist elements wherever they may seek refuge. We remain committed to ensuring that terrorists have no safe haven and no opportunity to recover their capabilities,” Aneke said.
The Chief of the Air Staff stressed that the Armed Forces of Nigeria remain firmly on course in consolidating the significant gains already recorded in the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign.
