On sighting the advancing troops, the suspects reportedly abandoned their bicycles and the items they were transporting before fleeing into the surrounding bush.
The troops immediately launched a pursuit but were unable to apprehend the suspects, who escaped through the difficult terrain.
Items recovered at the scene included two bicycles, five cartons of energy drinks, one carton of milk, one carton of soft drinks, two cartons of veterinary medicines and a blue canopy.
Military sources said the recovered items have been secured and taken into custody for further investigation as efforts continue to identify and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
