Emir of Ilorin Hails AGF Lateef Fagbemi at 67 for Commitment to Justice
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has felicitated the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, SAN, on the occasion of his 67th birthday, describing him as an outstanding legal icon whose contributions to Nigeria’s justice sector remain exemplary.
In a congratulatory message issued in Ilorin through his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir praised Fagbemi’s distinguished legal career, integrity and unwavering commitment to the rule of law, noting that his service continues to bring honour to Kwara State and Nigeria.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also commended the Attorney General for his role in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly through ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s justice system and uphold democratic values.
“On behalf of the Ilorin Emirate Council and the entire Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, I rejoice with our illustrious son, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, on the occasion of his 67th birthday anniversary,” the monarch said.
“His dedication to the rule of law, commitment to justice, and outstanding service to our dear nation are worthy of commendation. He has continued to make Kwara State and Nigeria proud through his diligence, professionalism and exemplary leadership.”
The Emir prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Attorney General many more years in good health, wisdom and strength to continue serving the nation with distinction.
He also called on Nigerians to continue supporting the Federal Government’s efforts to deepen justice sector reforms, strengthen democratic institutions and promote the rule of law for national development.
