Tozali TV Unveils Henna Ball, People’s Awards 2026 to Empower Female Survivors of Insurgency

ABUJA — Tozali TV has announced plans to host the Henna Ball & Tozali People’s Awards 2026, a flagship event aimed at recognising outstanding Nigerians while mobilising support for the rehabilitation and empowerment of female survivors of kidnapping, banditry and Boko Haram insurgency.
The event, themed “Empowering Survivors. Restoring Hope.”, is scheduled to hold on October 31, 2026, at the Los Angeles Event Centre, bringing together government officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, entertainers, creatives, philanthropists, community leaders and other prominent personalities.
Organisers said this year’s edition will celebrate individuals and organisations whose contributions have made significant impacts in nation-building through hard work, innovation, resilience, leadership and humanitarian service.
The awards will also spotlight unsung heroes whose efforts continue to transform lives and strengthen communities across Nigeria.
Beyond recognising excellence, Tozali TV said the event has a broader humanitarian objective of raising awareness and support for women and girls affected by insecurity through partnerships with the Tozali Girl Child and Women Foundation and other relevant organisations.

Speaking on the initiative, Maimuna Yaya Abubakar described the Henna Ball and Tozali People’s Awards as more than a ceremonial gathering.
“The Henna Ball & Tozali People’s Awards is more than a celebration; it is a platform to honour courage, amplify positive stories, and remind survivors that their lives and dreams matter. Through this initiative, we aim to bring together communities, leaders, and organisations to empower survivors and restore hope,” she said.
According to the organisers, the event will also showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through fashion, entertainment and creative performances while providing opportunities for collaboration among stakeholders from government, business, media, the creative industry and humanitarian organisations.
Tozali TV called on corporate organisations, development partners, public institutions and individuals to support the initiative through sponsorships and strategic partnerships, noting that the event seeks to combine recognition with social impact.
The organisers expressed confidence that the 2026 edition would provide an inspiring platform that celebrates excellence while advancing efforts to restore hope and dignity to survivors of violence and conflict.
The Henna Ball & Tozali People’s Awards 2026 will hold on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Los Angeles Event Centre. According to the organisers, media organisations, corporate partners and other stakeholders are invited to participate in what they described as an evening of celebration, inspiration and humanitarian commitment.
