JUST IN: Tinubu Reportedly Orders Arrest, Suspension of Perm Secs as ICPC Uncovers Another Fake Agency
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate arrest of Prince George Buchi Nwabueze following the discovery of a purported fake government agency operating within the premises of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) uncovered the alleged agency, identified as the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, during its ongoing investigation into fraudulent government entities and related irregularities in the public service.
The ICPC Chairman, Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, disclosed this on Friday while briefing State House correspondents after meeting with President Tinubu.

According to Aliyu, the discovery was made in the course of investigations into the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, which was reportedly being operated by Adeyemi Matthew.
He said investigators discovered that office space had been illegally allocated to the purported National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office within the premises of the OSGF.
Following the findings, President Tinubu directed the immediate arrest of Nwabueze in connection with the alleged operation of the purported agency.
The President also ordered the immediate suspension of three permanent secretaries over the incident.
The suspended officials were identified as M.S. Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare and Richard P. Pheelangwah.
The latest development is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to investigate alleged fraudulent entities, strengthen oversight and address administrative lapses within the public service.
Further details on the investigation and the allegations against the affected officials are expected to emerge as the ICPC continues its probe.
