Ondo Crash: NAF Coordinates Multi-Agency Search, Recovery Operations
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has continued search and recovery operations following the crash involving its ATR 42 aircraft, NAF 931, in Igbokoda, Ondo State.
The operation is being led and coordinated by the NAF under the direction of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the CAS commended the dedication and professionalism of personnel involved in the operation.

He also acknowledged the support of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ondo State Government and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.
Other agencies and groups supporting the operation include the Amotekun Corps, Hi-Tech Construction Company, local authorities, community leaders and volunteers.
According to Ejodame, Air Marshal Aneke described the coordinated efforts as a demonstration of inter-agency cooperation and collective national service in times of adversity.
The NAF chief reaffirmed the service’s commitment to pursuing the recovery operation diligently and safely, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
He also assured the public that appropriate updates would continue to be provided as the search and recovery operation progresses.
The Air Force expressed appreciation to Nigerians and other stakeholders for their solidarity, prayers and support during the ongoing operation.
